FEBRUARY FAVOURITES

Bye bye Feb…HELLLOOO March, aka Autumn, aka my birthday month aka second best month of the year. Lets reminisce on what products/things stole my heart last month.

I figured I would start out with the beauty products, considering I have hardly anything this past month. We were moving, so all my makeup (minus the ‘necessities’ ) were packed up in boxes. I wasn’t really adventurous with my makeup, so march will definitely be a more beauty filled month I believe.

I bought this Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Rikugien off my beautiful friend Eb @ The Black and White Guide, and I am so glad I did. It has a bit of an odd smell, but it is so beautiful on the lips. It is a ‘my lips but better’ kind of pink toned lip, with a subtle sheen to it (as it is a satin). I find it natural and just the perfect pick me up. Perfect for the handbag too!

Another goodie I got off Eb was the L’Oreal True Match Lumi Highlighter in Ice/Glacé. To my knowledge this isn’t even released in Australia. It combines 3 pearlescent pastel colours, which when blended together produce a cool-toned shimmery highlighter. P E R F E C T for pale skin! It does have shimmer in it, however I find it settles really nicely and subtly into the skin if you apply it correctly. It is super pale so if you have medium skin-tones this may not be the right shade for you.

( I wasn’t lying when I said the beauty products lacked this month. That is moving houses for ya.)

A book I read in Feb (well, listened to on Audible) was Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz. The Audible book is narrated by Lin-Manuel Miranda (aka Hamilton aka Moaaaaana aka GOD). That is 100% the only reason I decided to read/listen to it. That and a friend otherwise convinced me I needed to read it. I was NOT disappointed. I loved it. The whole thing was just a very different and unique story but so wonderfully put, and really drew me in.

What a sad sad excuse for a Favourites post…like I have mentioned, February consisted of packing, cleaning, moving, unpacking and running around like a headless chook. For March, fingers crossed I have a lot more to show you! x
