Don’t let the title of this post fool you. This is not just January empties….This is a ridiculous accumulation of products over November, December and January, which I have been hoarding for this whole time. My partner and I are moving in a few weeks so I needed to get this post sorted so I can recycle my crap! Due to the amount of products, this is going to be a LOOONG post, but don’t fear…the rest of the months will not be as ridiculous.
TRESemmé Moisture Rich Shampoo: I love the scent of TRESemmé shampoos, and I am obsessed with their Keratin one, however this one didn’t really do anything outlandish for me.
I won’t get this one, but I will definitely repurchase the Keratin one when they are on special next.
John Frieda Full Repair Strength & Restore Conditioner: I really wasn’t a fan of this product, as I feel it didn’t really do much considering it is one of the more expensive brands. Won’t be repurchasing.
Pantene 3 Minute Miracle 3 Pack: I didn’t notice a huge difference with these, and found the tube to have a little too less product than what my hair needs now that its long (first world problems am i right?) Won’t repurchase.
L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Nutrition Mask: I really liked how thick this mask was but I didn’t use this consistently enough to see whether it benefited my hair. I will most definitely repurchase this once I use up what I am using, and use it consistently to trial it.
Marc Anthony Repairing Macadamia Oil Conditioning Treatment: These little sachet are my favourite! I really so need to just buy the full size bottle! Highly recommend and will always repurchase.
The Body Shop Glazed Apple Sugar Body Scrub: I loved the scent of this but wasn’t a huge fan at the end. I probably won’t repurchase it.
Lux Body Wash in Passionate Spell & Petal Touch: I love the Lux body washes, especially the orange one (which is the Passionate Spell empty I have here) and their purple one. I didn’t fancy the Petal Touch one as it smelled very soapy, which obviously that is what it is, but the scent just didn’t work for me. I will always repurchase the orange and purple ones!
Original Source Mint and Tea Tree Body Wash: I loveeee Original Source body washes as well, especially the Mint and the Lime ones. They are also Vegan and Cruelty Free which is always a plus. I have repurchased a bottle of the Mint wash.
Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipes – Blue version: This pack actually got dried up as the sticker didn’t close (why don’t companies have the hard lids on them???? Like I LOVE it when its a hard closure!) so I didn’t get to enjoy them. I have repurchased but in the purple, night calming, packet!
Simple Kind To Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes: Yeeeaah really not a fan of these, however when they are dirt cheap at my local chemist I like to get some and use them to clean my hands when doing swatches.
Excuse the EXTREMELY dodgy photo (for some reason my camera didn’t like this out of all the shots I took!) but here are some samples, and some random packet items I have gone through.
Sugar Baby Vita + Skin Hydrating Coconut Oil Hair Treatment: Probably the only coconut hair treatment I have not hated! May repurchase it, but won’t rush out to get it.
Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil Face Butter Sample: A little sample from Mecca, didn’t really think it was anything special so won’t purchase full size.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Face Mask: No surprise here, I love these! Amazing for dry skin and very hyrdating! Have already repurchased.
The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Mask: Must to a lot of people’s surprise, I LOVED this. I heard a few people say they didn’t enjoy this, but I thought it did an amazing job at removing dirt and dead skin cells! Hopefully this is still instock in a couple months when tash is no longer living off two-minute noodles so I can purchase the full size!
Now that the hair care, skin care, and other random bits are out of the way, I have a few beauty products that are seeing the inside of a bin as we speak.
Maybelline Lash Sensational: I was very late on the bandwagon with this mascara, and I am so glad I ended up caving and getting it. I really enjoyed it and will most likely repurchase once I make my way through my mountain of mascaras!
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer: I used to be obsesses with these! Recently I haven’t been using them just cause they aren’t light enough for me however this is pretty much the only Drugstore concealer I will purchase!
Bare Minerals Marvellous Moxie Lip Gloss in Hypnotist: love love love! hands down one of my favourite glosses EVER! I have repurchased.
Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze: An old-school favourite of mine! This has to be at least 3 or 4 years old, so it was definitely time to say farewell. It was my favourite shade out of all of them, and something I would consider repurchasing in the future.
Gerard Cosmetics Lipstick in Mai Tai: I used to be obsesses with Gerard Cosmetics lipsticks for a good chunk of my life, but I ended up hating the formula of them as time went on. Non-related to that, this lipstick met its death when facing 40 degree heat here in Queensland….Note to self, DON’T put makeup in the hottest room of your house. I will not repurchase.
Australis Lipstick in Grunge: Due to it being a million years old, and having a weird film forming on the top of it, it was time to throw it out. I will most likely repurchase in winter time, as the shade is stunning!
Real Techniques Complexion Sponge: I know…it looks GROSS. Granted it has been sitting in the bottom of a bag with broken eyeshadow for a good few months, so don’t fear, this didn’t go anywhere near my face! I have repurchased, however I think once my current one dies I will purchase the Beauty Blender to try something new!
Nars Laguna Bronzer Sample: I loved this so much that I bought a fullsize like a week after trying it! I love it! Surprisingly not too bad on my pale skin either.
Maybelline Fit Me Powder: I did really enjoy this however my shade is never in stock online or in store. IF I can find my shade, I would probably buy it again.
Smashbox Insta-Matte Lipstick Transformer Sample: I feel like this worked in making a glossy lipstick more velvety, but the lipstick vibrancy wouldn’t be the same. Probably won’t repurchase, but its an amazing concept!
I am so so sorry for having to bombard you with information overload! The rest of the year will definitely not be as bad as this, unless by sheer chance I manage to get through a truck-load of products!
