The Catch-Up: January Edition

It’s February guys….and not just that, its over a week into February. I AM NOT PREPARED! There is one thing I have prepared though…my monthly catch-up!

January was an amazing month for me in so many aspects. A new year, a new month brings new opportunities and new outlooks for a fresh start in your life (if you choose to experience that, you do you). I put a lot of things into place for this month to really be beneficial to me! What better way to kick off a fresh-start, than by re-vamping your blog and starting a clean slate?!

I reunited myself with Audible in January, and it is the best darn thing I have ever done! I used to despise the app because I felt like it was cheating, but after being told profusely that it still counts, I have never looked back. I started off with this book by Sarah Knight, the infamous ‘The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a Fuck’ which, to be honest, was quite over-rated. This however turned into book after book after book and so far this year I have read/listened to 4 books (thats 3 more than last year haha!)

Mentally, I have been up and down on a roller coaster in January, however with the help of friends and family and my amazing partner, I have kept afloat and I am travelling quite well considering my history with anxiety. I won’t go into too much detail, however lets just say Feb & March are going to be CRAZY busy for me.

On a positive note, I had some AWESOME experiences in January that have really kicked 2017 off with a bang! We went to Cirque De Soleil’s ‘Kooza’ as our Christmas present from my partners parents, which was UNLIKE ANYTHING I have ever experienced!

I also went to see Panic! At The Disco aka Brendon Urie perform live at the Riverstage in Brisbane and OH MY, my ‘little Tash’ in me was rejoicing with nostalgia! I love the album Death of a Bachelor, like you have no idea, so to be able to hear it performed live, as well as some of the songs I grew up listening to, was a once in a lifetime experience.

I am beyond excited to see where the rest of this year takes me, so stay tuned for more monthly catch-ups!
